Wobbly Windows and all that snaz
Yesterday, the developers managed to get 3D working for r500 hardware.
The updated builds for Fedora are now available (if you go direct to the source and not wait for a tested update... pfft! who needs testing?)
Accelerated 3d works. Compiz works. I still need to figure out how to use textured video along with compiz (I think I need to specify the Textured video port, but neither gstreamer-properties, nor VLC seem to give an option...). Normal video works, but it is not antialiased. I need to test a few games. Just because. :P
I also updated to the beta for Flash 10 (on Linux). it works for me, does not need workarounds like libflashsupport and does not seem to be a resource hog. It also has many new features.
Anyway, I have wobbly windows (and more) working on my PC. Today is a good day.
