I am the current maintainer of the phpbb2drupal module which, as the name suggests, migrates data from phpBB to Drupal.

Support to import data from phpbb 3.x has been added to HEAD and will be available through the 2.x series of releases. The 1.x series of releases will currently remain to import from phpbb2.x

Requirements:

• phpass Module - There is a patched version attached at the bottom of this page with fixed bugs (allowing ). If you trust me, you can use it.
• BBCode Module

History

I took over maintainership of this module from Beginner in December 2007 as I wanted to import some data from phpbb2 to the then forthcoming Drupal 6. Before this, the only "coding" I had done was follow some html tutorials to create a website or two, and a couple of tutorials to create a contact form. I was more or less a total newbie to all this, but the was excellent documentation which helped me a lot in updating the module to Drupal 6. There were also some existing patches for the Drupal 5 version which helped me cut my teeth in and Beginner was a big help, so loads of thanks to him.

I no longer need this module, but (as long as it is manageable for me) I am willing to update it and keep it working.
