With the last few releases of Fedora(More specifically ever since Gnome moved to the new GDM) there is no longer a GUI to allow for a timed or automatic login - it has been said that there will eventually be one, but it is not here yet.
To add either a timed login or an automtatic login, you need to modify the file /etc/gdm/custom.conf and add the following for a timed login:
[daemon]
TimedLoginEnable=true
TimedLogin=username
TimedLoginDelay=5

Yesterday, the developers managed to get 3D working for r500 hardware.
The updated builds for Fedora are now available (if you go direct to the source and not wait for a tested update... pfft! who needs testing?)
Accelerated 3d works. Compiz works. I still need to figure out how to use textured video along with compiz (I think I need to specify the Textured video port, but neither gstreamer-properties, nor VLC seem to give an option...). Normal video works, but it is not antialiased. I need to test a few games. Just because. :P

This post is from Fedora 9 (Codename: Sulphur), which was release a couple of days ago (13 May 2008).
I had tried the Fedora 9 Preview Live CD and this time went for the normal Install DVD and installed the default Gnome desktop (which much of this post will focus on). First impressions: Very nice.
Quick and dirty Summary
- New look (updated theme and sounds)
- Kernel 2.6.25 - the latest released kernel
- Updated desktop
- New software/package manager (Packagekit)
- Firefox 3 Beta 5
- much much more
